The Aesir is the first choice of Line Ship that you can choose from when you reach level 20. It can be now upgraded to be even more of more of a threat. As an Interceptor its role is to team up with other Aesirs and hunt down slower moving Jormungs. They can be used for other roles as they do have a nice, large amount of health but they are faster than other Lines. However they may lose out when it comes line vs line battles, depending on the weapons used, they will be the first to die due to fact they have less health than all other lines. Aesirs also have the highest turning speed and avoidance, like the Scythe. It can also be equipped with gyro-stabilizations in the engine slots to give it maximum turning ability to out turn other lines in the arena.
The Aesir is also similar to an unadvanecd Gungnir but costs a little more than half of the Gungnir, the only difference is that it has 2 extra engine slots. This not only makes an Aesir cheaper but also tougher to chase down and kill.
However, it has less Hull slots than a Gungnir, meaning that it may get ripped apart faster. An Aesir is a killing machine when all weapons/computers/engines are Level 10 or greater. It's important to have a damage control system and repair kits. This ship is often used as a missile boat build. Aesir is the perfect ship for destroying platforms.
Like all Line ships, the Aesir has blind spots that experienced Strike or Escort pilots can get into and slowly whittle down whatever hullpoints still remains (which is lesser than other lines).
"Among the most advanced line ship design so far recovered by the Colonial Fleet, the Aesir features high output reactors and drive assemblies that, when repaired and re-aligned, produce incredible thrust for a ship of its size. Returning them to active service requires a major investment of time and resources, but the Aesir's combination of speed and firepower is highly effective.
As a heavy Interceptor, the Aesir can be equipped with more engine systems than other line ships, increasing its already impressive performance."
