The Marauder is the Cylon's Assault Strike ship. As an Assault ship it can absorb the most damage in battles among other strike class ships. With very high health, the Marauder is very helpful in wolf packs as they can absorb damage while distracting targets as teammates attack it. However, the Marauder is the first cubit cost ship. With 36,000 cubits needed to buy it, many don't usually get it and instead get either an escort or the Cylon War Raider as it's a multi-roleStrike. However if you looking for a good tank ship then this is the one for you.
The Marauder is rarely seen in battle, as more players tend to save up a for the multi-role Strike, the Cylon War Raider.
